Hi there! My name is Jenna Porcelli and I am a former New Yorker now living in Yardley PA with my two young children. Prior to bringing ISR to the Newtown area, I built a successful career in advertising with digital companies such as Buzzfeed and Scary Mommy.

 

I originally found ISR when my oldest child was an infant, and brought him 40 min away from my home each day to a wonderful ISR instructor for lessons. It was challenging to manage the daily commitment with my full time job, but it was such an incredible experience to watch him learn to survive in water. When my second child came along I trekked her there for lessons too! 

 

Parenting is hard, and we are all always wondering if we are doing the right thing. When I saw that my babies could confidently swim & self-rescue after just 6 weeks of lessons, I knew I was giving them a tremendous gift. Finding & committing to ISR was truly one of my proudest accomplishments as their mama, and I became obsessed with helping other parents feel that way too!

 

So in 2019, while still juggling my role at Scary Mommy, I went through the intensive instructor certification process and became the first ISR instructor in the Lower Bucks/Newtown area. By Summer of 2020 the word about lessons was out and demand went through the roof! I decided to leave corporate life entirely to focus on running Lower Bucks ISR full time and teaching all year round.

 

To date, I have enjoyed teaching more than 600 children of various ages and abilities these skills in the Newtown area and can't wait to work with many, many more. Looking forward to meeting you and your kiddos by the pool!
