MEET THE INSTRUCTOR TEAM

Jenna Porcelli, Director, Certified ISR Instructor

Hi there! My name is Jenna Porcelli and I am a former New Yorker now living in Yardley PA. I have a varied professional background and have worn many hats, but since 2005 I have been building a successful career in advertising with digital companies such as Buzzfeed and Scary Mommy.

I found ISR when my oldest was an infant, and brought him 40 min away from my home to a fabulous ISR instructor for lessons. It was beyond worth it despite being hectic to manage with a full time job, and when my second child came along I trekked her to lessons too!

Parenting is hard, and we are all always wondering if we are doing the right thing. But when I saw my babies roll to their back for the first time I didn't have to wonder...I knew I had done whatever it took to make them as safe as possible around water. ISR solidified its place as one of my proudest accomplishments as their mama, and I became obsessed with helping other moms feel that way too!

I have spent 180 hours training to become part of the solution for childhood drowning and look forward to offering this amazing program to families in my area. I will be teaching in Newtown PA.. looking forward to meeting you & your children by the pool!

KRISTY SQUIRE, MASTER ISR INSTRUCTOR
*Guest MI for Summer 2 Session 2021

I am a Mommy to 3 incredible children and my fur baby.  I am an ISR Master Instructor and a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with my BA in Communication and my MBA.

After my "ISR Mom" experience, I felt compelled to help other parents attain what I had- knowledge that my child was safe, skilled, and actually really happy in the water (when she finished her lessons).  I decided to become an Instructor in 2007.

Helping children become competent in the water is so important to me, that teaching these lessons is not a job, it is a passion.  This passion never feels like work.

I have taught hundreds of children the ISR Self-Rescue skills needed to survive if ever in an aquatic emergency and to SWIM for fun.

I am excited to be traveling to Newtown PA in July 2021, joining Jenna to help reach more families in the area. While leading the Summer 2 session I will also be helping to expand the Lower Bucks ISR team by training 2 new area instructors. I can't wait to meet your family so you can enjoy the amazing ISR results for yourselves!

JENNIFER LOWKE, MASTER ISR INSTRUCTOR
*Guest MI for Summer 2 Session 2021

The first ISR lesson I watched was for my own children.  Within two weeks of their first lessons I knew I wanted to train to be a Certified ISR Instructor.  I trained and became certified to teach in 2001, two weeks after my kids finished lessons.  Since then, I have taught well over 1000 students all around the country.  I became a Master Instructor in 2003 and have taught over 40 new Instructors throughout the United States.

I love traveling to bring ISR to new communities and meeting new people and teaching them the importance of drowning prevention and how to maintain their child’s ISR Self-Rescue® skills.   I feel blessed to be a part of ISR's mission of Not One More Child Drowns and I do all I can daily to ensure this mission.

In August of 2021, I will be traveling to Pennsylvania to help lead a session with Lower Bucks ISR to meet the demand in the Newtown area. I
will also be joining fellow MI Kristy Squire to help expand the Lower Bucks ISR team by training 2 new area instructors. I  look forward to meeting you, learning about your child and helping you and your child grow!

SHARA KOHART, ISR INSTRUCTOR IN TRAINING (Lower Bucks Area)

My name is Shara Kohart. I live in New Hope PA with my husband, 4 year old son and 2 year old twins.

I was always a very strong swimmer and spent middle school and high school on the swim team. I also spent most of my summers lifeguarding well into college. I went to the University of Vermont for my undergraduate degree and NYU for my masters in Social Work. I worked as a Medical Social Worker for close to 10 years before I had my children and became a stay at home mom.

Pretty quickly after signing my little ones up for ISR I fell in love with the program and how amazing it is! It is an unexplainable sense of relief to have my children safe and skilled in the water in such a short period of time. I knew that I wanted to be a part of the solution to Not One More Child Drowns. I can't wait to get in the water and skill your kiddos!

JODI LOGAN, ISR INSTRUCTOR IN TRAINING (Princeton Area)

I’m a mother of 2 little peanuts, 2 & 4 years old. Prior to becoming a mom I spent 10 years as a VP for a major investment firm. When my children were 6 months and 2 years old we decided to have a pool put in, my only requirement was that the children needed to know how to swim first, but after 18 months in weekly swim lessons for my then 2 year old, I was not seeing results.

I read the ISR material and spoke with the instructors. I drove 30 minutes each way to make sure my children were safe in the water. I knew right away ISR was the right choice and I knew I wanted to be part of “the magic”. 18 months later my children are a little bit older and I’m very excited to be embarking on this journey and keeping children and infants safe…”not one more child drowns”
